Tanong Precision Co., Ltd. Supports Hualien Recovery - Donates 16 Engine-Driven High-Pressure Washers for Post-Disaster Cleanup
In late September 2025, severe flooding occurred along the Matai’an Creek in Hualien County (officially named the “0923 Hualien Matai’an Creek Barrier Lake Disaster”).
The barrier lake was formed following a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall brought by the outer circulation of Typhoon Wipha on July 21. On September 23, continuous downpours from Typhoon Ragasa caused the dam to overflow multiple times, resulting in severe flooding, bridge collapses, and casualties downstream.
In response to the disaster, Tanong Precision Co., Ltd., upholding its corporate spirit of “Rooted in Industry, Giving Back to Society,” immediately activated its internal emergency mechanism to adjust production lines and prioritize the manufacturing and preparation of high-pressure cleaning equipment suitable for post-disaster recovery.
To address the large-scale need for mud and debris removal, Tanong Precision donated 16 units of 5.5hp engine-driven high-pressure washers on October 10, 2025, to local rescue and recovery teams in Hualien. The machines were deployed for cleaning roads, public facilities, residential surroundings, and other areas affected by sediment accumulation — contributing to faster restoration and rehabilitation of the community.
Tanong Precision stated that this initiative is not only a practical contribution to the disaster-stricken region of Hualien, but also a reflection of the company’s long-term commitment to the philosophy of “Applying Industrial Technology to Serve Society.” The company believes that every act of assistance — no matter how small — is an essential force in helping communities rebuild their homes.
“We hope that through our efforts, the process of cleanup and recovery can move a little faster, and that Hualien will soon regain its beauty and peace,” said a company representative.
Tanong Precision Co., Ltd. will continue to monitor Hualien’s recovery progress and hopes this action will inspire more enterprises to join in public welfare and disaster relief efforts — contributing to the well-being of Taiwan’s land and people.
