History

 
  • In March 1970, Tanong Agricultures Machinery was founded in Taichung Taiwan, with factory area of 330 m2, 20 or so associated suppliers, and 30 employees. Main products were multi-functional high pressure power sprayer for water supply and cleaning, in both agriculture and industrial use. Our production capacity was 1,200 sets of power sprayer for domestic market.
  • In November 1974, we expanded our factory area to 990 m2 along with upgraded production facility to start semi-auto production. Our associated suppliers were increased to 40+ and our employees became 50. In this year, Tanong became the exclusive distributor for Japan ASABA spray accessories in Taiwan.
 
  • In March 1976, we expanded our operation to become distributor for KOHLER diesel engine of USA, KAWASAKI petro engine of Japan, and other small agriculture machinery for domestic market.
  • In January 1979, Tanong became the first agriculture machinery manufacturer to be certified with CNS Mark by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection of Taiwan as a recognition to our quality. In June, to cope with the increasing demand from domestic and overseas market, we facilitated more production machineries along with several testing instruments, and our capital was increased to US$350,000.
  
  • In 1982, Tanong successfully created a mobile disinfection vehicle for disease prevention. It was highly recognized andpurchased by several regional governments. In June, Tanong introduced a newauto-mobile spray vehicle, and was awarded by Taiwan Farmer’s Association with incentive.
  • In 1985, in order to empower our competitiveness and enlarge our market, Tanong upgraded our facility by investing in auto production machineries and increased our production capacity to 20,000 sets per year. Our factory area was expanded to 3,300 m2 and capital was doubled to US$700,000.
  
  • In 1992, our sales division was officially divided into domestic sales department and International trade department. Our business expanded to distribution for international brands in Taiwan, export for domestic suppliers, sales for self-developed products, and OEM. In October, Tanong became a distribution agent for COMET high pressure washer of Italy in Taiwan.
  • In 1994 and 1995, we faced labor-shortage problem in Taiwan. In order to ensure quality and production stability, Tanong invested more than US$700,000 in Numerical Control automatic machines and CNC Horizontal Machining Centers to enable one man for multi-machine operation.
   
  • In 1999, the millennium bug fear spread all overthe world, Tanong renewed all our computer hardware and software to be prepared.The production planning system was computerized prior to Y2K. In the same year,we reconstructed our corporate structure to become profit-centered units. InAugust, we renewed our contract with Japan ASABA to be their sole agent inTaiwan for all their product lines, including powered sprayer and backpacksprayer. In October, we re-negotiated our contract with Taipower to increase electricitysupply to 400 KW to ensure power sufficiency for production expansion. In thisyear, a Japanese made MORI SEIKI CNC HorizontalMachining Center was added to our production force.
  
  • In 2000, Tanong published its CIS. At the same year, in order to assure our quality in design, manufacturing, sales, and after sales, Tanong reformed itself to pass the certification of ISO 9001 in July, set out to level up in quality assurance.
  • In 2001, Tanong adopted ERP for more efficient managementin corporate resources. By integrating ISO 9001 and ERP program, the linkage andresource sharing between all cooperate units became more effectively.

  
  • In 2002, Tanong invested more in production facility with German made ZEISS CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), IBM CATIA V.5.0 DAD/CAM software, and DMG Vertical and Horizontal cutting machines. Our factory area was increased to 5,000 m2 and capital was doubled again to US$1,400,000.
  • In 2004, Tanong invested in DMG Ultrasonic Working Machine, increased our ability to process hard-and-crisp materials such as ceramic and quartz, and be able to manufacture for semiconductor and opto-electronics industry. In this year, Tanong was verified by Taiwan Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation for their S-200 quality system and became part of Aerospace industry supply chain.

 
  • In 2007, Tanonginvested more in Precision machining machinery and became a supplier for GM, FORD, BENZ,and AUDI for their official auto parts. Tanong entered the process of ISO/TS16949 verification.
  • In 2009, to allow machining business expand to economic scale, Tanong split the machining division from pump business and merged it with an aluminum casting company and formed Apexworks Precision Industrial Co., Ltd. Tanong’s core operation returned to plunger pump systems and application development.
  

 

  • In 2010, Tanong’s mobile misting fan entered Japanmarket along with our mist cooling systems and accessories such as fittings andnozzles. At the same time mist cooling solution had become popular in Europe,Japan, and U.S. In the same year, our RD team started to adopt SOLIDWORKSin product development process for more comprehensive idea illustration amonginternal and external communication.
  • In 2012, our stainless steel high pressure plunger pumps began to be used in car wash tunnel system and washing system in electronics production process. Tanong began to provide total solutions for wide-range of applications in various industries, such as integrating our plunger pumps with computer control system and invertor motor, etc. to create new applications in new territory.
  
  • In 2014, Tanong setup a new leasing division to arrange and lease our mist cooling products for public activities. By doing so, we expend our business from a manufacturer to a service provider. The release of activity news on social media, broadcasting news, internet pages, and outdoor signs all contribute to advertise our brand name. In this year, we introduced EPDM system and web framework of solidworks in our product design for better data management and sharing between divisions and collaboration among RD, production, and after service. Furthermore, to provide more comprehensive service to our customers.
  • In 2017, we received external investment and our capital was increased to US$3,500,000. Atthe same time, to enlarge business scale and to optimize the management, both ourtotal solution division and releasing division became independent and formed AppliedFluid Technology Co., Ltd. and Midasevent Int'l Co., Ltd. A second factory sitewas established.
  • In 2020, our TS-6000 bi-directional high flow pump was launched, which has 2 times of inlet volume at the same pump size as to the old one. This new development gave us a chance to open the door to European market.
